Shahbaz Bhatti (Faisalabad 1968 – Islamabad 2011), founder of the “Christian Liberation Front” was a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party and in 2008 minister for Pakistan’s minorities. He was born into a catholic family from Kushpur, a village in the province of Punjab. He was committed to the fight for human rights, religious freedom, equality, social justice and the revision of the blasphemy law.
